This Malamar is a Dark/Psychic-type Pokémon owned by Piers.
Biography[]
Piers attempted to sneak by Oleana, who was fighting the Gym Leaders. However, he was alert of danger, and quickly sent Malamar to defend himself from Oleana's Garbodor's attack. Once the group realized that Chairman Rose was not at the tower, Oleana smiled, and stopped the battle by returning her Pokémon.[1] Piers later sent Malamar to battle Eternatus atop the Hammerlocke power plant.[2] To stop Hop and Marnie in fighting Eternatus, Piers had Malamar warp them away from the battleground. Hop and Marnie were angry, until Eternatus' beam struck Malamar, defeating it in an instant. As Zacian and Zamazenta arrived to confront Eternatus, Piers had Nessa use a Revival Herb. Malamar was awakened, and teleported the rest of the group away, to watch the rest of the battle.[3] With a bright light flashing, the rest of the Gym Leaders found everyone, including Piers and Malamar, unconscious.[4]
