Pichu Bros. in Party Panic! is a multi-part episode of Pokémon the Series. The episode can only be accessed from from Pokémon Channel. The episode is segmented into five parts, each one being viewed each day until Pikachu has to go find Part 5, which has lost its way in Mt. Snowfall.
Plot[]
In a evening at Big Town, Meowth and his friend stand on a long building high above a road. Meowth even knew if he has wanted to do a big event for the Pokémon. Meowth began to pull out some moon shape cards and held them high into the sky.
The next day, the Pichu Bros. got ready to have another day of fun at the Pokémon Clubhouse. They raced throughout town, running past citizens, jumping over a flower pot, climbing a lamp post nearby, and bounced off an awning. Their friend Smoochum is doing her reflection dance in the window of a store. She heard a few Pokémon laughing, and turns around to see them carrying the cards that Meowth was holding. Smoochum looked surprised and decides to tell her friends about it.
At a tree, Teddiursa is stuffing its face with acorns in a tree, but got its head stuck. As it frees itself out, it falls out of the tree. Meanwhile in the sewers, Magby goes over water blasts on the way to their Clubhouse.
Wooper splashes in the river, heading to the Clubhouse as well. When the Pichu posse finally make it, Smoochum was there waiting for them. She explained her reasoning to the others. When the older Pichu Brother noticed the cards smashing him and his younger brother, he decides to go take a look.
The Pichu Brothers and the Pichu posse come to a ledge over a sidewalk, when a Weepinbell and Magmar walk by. Smoochum explains that the moon cards have fruit shapes. As Teddiursa's stomach began to grumble, it flashes back about the food, making it confused.
The gang heads to the park in an attempt to figure this out, as they see a Smeargle and Aipom playing with the cards. As soon as the Pichu Brothers and crew ask why the cards have fruit in the middle, Aipom used Smeargle's tail to paint a collection of fruit. Everyone else became confused except for Pichu Big and Teddiursa. When Aipom noded, it and Smeargle got confronted by a screaming Pichu posse. Aipom then painted a clock, which Magby seems to identify first as the Pichu and the Pichu posse get overloaded too.
Aipom's painting lead them to a warehouse, but when Magby smelled food, the Pichu posse is lead to a room, where they fortuitously find food, until the three Squirtle restrain them, telling them that the food has been served for Meowth's party. When the Pichu Brothers ask what the cards are for, the Cubone then appears holding a card. The cards are invitations to the party and the food is for guests only. The Pichu Brothers begin to argue over them, but the Pichu and their friends are thrown out of the warehouse. As Teddiursa managed to escape and get a look at the boxes of the food, Wobbuffet gets Teddiursa kicked out.
Meowth confronts his friends, telling them to go to a local building so they can rehearse their song for the celebration.
In town, the Pichu Brothers and Pichu posse become upset when they see an invitation floating in the sky. It leads them on a great chase after the invitation.
This chase leaded the Pichu posse through town, but Smoochum got caught up in her reflection, Wopper saving Magby from falling in the river, and Teddiursa eating ice cream. The Pichu Brothers then jump off of a wild Houndour's head, causing them to get chased by it. After they escaped in an elevator, and finding the invitation, the Pichu Brothers successfully defeat Houndour by luring it into a fire hydrant.
Back at the Clubhouse, Teddiursa, Magby and Wooper look sad once more, but when the Pichu Brothers show up with the invitation card, they all rejoice together. However, Smoochum comes along with a sad Oddish, who lost its invitation to Meowth's party. The younger Pichu asks his older brother to give the invitation to Oddish, to which the older Pichu regrets, but then Pichu Big eventually hands it over. Smoochum begins to let Oddish go as she and the rest were sad again. Luckily, Azumarill showed up with six moon cards and had them for the entire day.
Their invitations are tied to a balloon and when Azumarill hands them over, the balloon flies out of her hand, causing the rest of the group to become upset again. The Pichu Brothers are once again feeling worried, but when the older Pichu sees a balloon, it gives him a plan.
The Pichu posse creates a Magby-powered hot air balloon that will help them retrieve their invitations. The Pichu Brothers began to climb in, and they were able to grab the invitations on time.
That night Meowth's party had already began. All the Pokémon dig in as the Pichu Posse shows up. Squirtle Squad get mad, and they show their moon cards. The Squirtle clear the doors, as the Pokémon eat. Meowth, noticing the Pokémon having a good time, calls the Squirtle Squad to move to another room. As the other two Pichu continue eating, Pichu Big is waiting to see what will happen next. Pichu Little and Pichu Big become excited as Meowth announces thet they'll be watching a show, exciting everybody. The episode switches to 3-D and the show started.
Meowth sees all Pokémon heading inside to watch the show. He goes outside with Wobbuffet to the stadium.
Pichu brothers are shown sitting on a stick. And looking down at the other Pokémon. Four wild Skiploom carry Teddursa, Magby, Smoochum and Wooper on their flowers. The other Pokémon begin to speak. Before Pichu and the Posse go, the room turns dark, and comes Meowth. The crowd then began cheering and dancing, while Meowth sings Meowth's party. He jumps on the Machop then sings as he goes to join the Pokémon. Meowth goes near Ledyba, as it floats all the way up then down. Scizor cuts the screen, Krabby makes bubbles, Geodude punches Meowth, and then Elekid frightens Meowth with a Thunderbolt. Pinsir attacks Meowth, knocking him out. Weepinbell sucks Meowth into its mouth and tosses it away, causing it to break through a hole in the ceiling. Meowth then came back and responded on the stage, resulting in cheers from all the Pokémon.
After the show ends, the episode switches to anime form. Meowth then sets off a firework display, but noticed that the fireworks weren't working properly. The sparks send Meowth into the sky, while the Pichu Posse were waking home then they had saw the fireworks. Azumarill, Magby, Wooper, Teddiursa, Smoochum, and the Pichu brothers smile as they watch the fireworks.
Appearances[]
Pokémon Channel[]
In the short's appearance in Pokémon Channel, it is split into five segments, which can be viewed from the TV, or from the "Special" option on the title screen. The player is forced to watch the first segment of "Pichu Bros. in Party Panic" as the very first show on their TV after it has been delivered by Magnemites. The second through fourth segments are added automatically to the lineup of programs in the second to fourth days, respectively.
The fifth and final segment, however, has a larger role in gameplay, since it has gone missing. The player is informed by Professor Oak that the program disk had landed somewhere in Mt. Snowfall and asks them to retrieve it. The player and their Pikachu have to go to Mt. Snowfall via the bus stop and go to the Ruins of Truth. However, there is a large Gengar blocking the entrance, and only the Duskull Lamp can get rid of it. The player must then head for Springleaf Field to find a Duskull. The Duskull is bored and wants someone to find a ball for it. The ball can be found in the nearby hole after having Pikachu search in it. The player can then give the ball to Duskull who will then give the Duskull Lamp back in return. Then player and Pikachu must then head back to Mt. Snowfall and to The Ruins of Truth area. Pikachu then shines the Duskull Lamp onto the Gengar and it runs away in fear. The player and Pikachu can then enter the Ruins of Truth. It is very dark inside of the Ruins of Truth and Pikachu is scared. The player must get Pikachu to light up the area by having it use Thunderbolt on the two bell flowers. Doing so lights up a path to cross allowing further access into the Ruins of Truth. The player and Pikachu then come across a statue with "O" and "X" on it. The player must answer a random riddle having Pikachu to press "O" if it's true and "X" if it's false. If the correct answer is chosen, a fire will emerge and a statue of a Golbat will appear. If answered incorrectly, an actual Golbat will appear signaling the player is wrong. After answering it correctly, Pikachu inspects the statue only to get stuck forcing the player to help get Pikachu out. After saving Pikachu, it comes out of the statue with the program disk for Part 5. The player and Pikachu then leave the Ruins of Truth and hand over the program disk to Magnemite allowing Pichu Bros. in Party Panic!: Part 5 to be viewed at last.
Besides the five parts, the player can also acquire Japanese versions of the episodes, a full-length version of the series, as well as a special Japanese version that has Kasumi as the narrator. When the latter version is unlocked, the game opens with a Togepi delivering the special episode to Pikachu, indirectly alluding to Misty's Togepi.
