Persian (ペルシアンPersian) is a Normal-type Pokémon. It is the evolved form of Meowth, which evolves into Persian by leveling up to Level 28. It is seen in the Anime as The Ex Viridian gym leader/Team rocket leader Giovanni's Pokémon all way's at his side; it is never seen in battle, so it is assumed to be a more of pet then a battle Pokémon.

Trivia
- Seeing as Meowth used to be Giovanni's favorite and now has a Persian he must favor cat-like Pokémon.
- Giovanni is most likely a reference to a mob boss, he is seen in a suit often, has a clean hair cut, and specifically Persian.
- Although Persian is named after the breed of cat, it doesn't share similarities with the breed of the same name. Its looks is largely based on a Siamese cat.
- In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Persian is Pokémon Square's bank owner but in later mystery dungeon games is replaced with Duskull.
