Pearl (Japanese: しんじゅ Pearl) is an item introduced in Generation II.

Effect[]

Pearls are shiny spheres appearing mostly in beach areas. It is commonly held by wild Shellders, as well as Clamperls and sometimes Cloysters in later games. Being valuable items, Pearls have no gameplay, but the player can sell it to a Poké Mart to earn money.

In a few of the games, a Pearl can be sold to a certain non-playable character. In Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version and , the player can sell a Pearl to a character in the Pokémon Center of Icirrus City for Poké Dollar1,400. In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, a Pearl is one of the items that the player can sell to an item buyer at the Stow-on-Side, where it can be sold to him for Poké Dollar3,000.
