Synopsis[]
What starts off as a beautiful morning at the Cerise Laboratory morphs into a morning of panic when Chrysa and Ren discover that a major chunk of research data has been erased! After they secure the lab’s computers with new passwords…it happens again! We soon discover it to be the handiwork of a boy named Gizmo and his partner Kecleon. But Goh’s Drizzile is on the case, and it evolves into Inteleon to stop the culprits! It turns out that Gizmo is actually a huge fan of Professor Cerise’s work and was trying to attract the Professor’s attention. Episode plot[]
It is nighttime at the Cerise Laboratory and Ash, Goh, and all of the Pokémon of the park are asleep. However, Drizzile creeps out of its den and crawls around the park, passing the resting Pokémon. It crawls about, passing other Pokémon in burrows and even seeing Goh's Darmanitan, before becoming surprised and camouflaging itself as Goh's Greedent falls from a tree and in front of Drizzile. The Water Lizard Pokémon simply sneaks away after becoming surprised and approaches the border of the park, looking up at the night sky and hoping to one day become an Inteleon. Drizzile spots a rock and tests its aim by using Water Gun to hit the rock, though it misses all of its attempts. Disappointed, Drizzile lays down in exhaustion before hearing some nearby rustling, which is shown to be a strange figure in the park. Despite the suspicious activity, Drizzile simply continues to lay down, becoming tired. The mysterious figure sneaks around the border of the park, climbing up the walls and approaching a nearby window to lead to the laboratory.
In the morning, everything seems peaceful. Ash, Goh, Grookey, and Pikachu are enjoying breakfast alongside Professor Cerise. Everything seems quiet until Ren and Chrysa enter the room, explaining that the information on Pokémon in the park has gone missing. The alarming news leaves Ash and Goh shocked as Ren and Chrysa show the missing data files to Professor Cerise. Ash and Pikachu look around the lab for the missing data, though Goh causes them to quit their foolish behavior. As panic ensues in the lab, the mysterious figure from last night crawls along the lab walls, going unnoticed.
The two boys head to the park, feeding some of Goh's Pokémon. Ash and Goh wonder how the data could have been stolen and who could be responsible for the case. While Goh grows disheartened over the missing data, Ash hands him a bowl of Pokémon Food for him to deliver to Drizzile. Goh placed the bowl at the entrance of Drizzile's burrow while it is fast asleep. As the two boys and their Pokémon prepare to head back to the lab, Pikachu and Grookey splash into a mud puddle while playing and proceed to dirty Ash with mud after he laughs at them. Goh notices the mud puddle, wondering why the ground is so wet.
Back in the lab, the three researchers are tightening the security of their system. Professor Cerise, Ren, and Chrysa all look satisfied at their new protection, locking the files and changing the passwords. However, the mysterious figure inhabiting the park is close by, recording the researcher's activity with a camera. Professor Cerise stands up and suddenly looks around, becoming suspicious about someone nearby, though he brushes it off as his mind playing tricks on him. As the camera footage of the new passwords is recording by the mysterious figure, it is broadcasted to a computer elsewhere where a strange person rewatches the video, marveling on how they obtained the new passcodes to the Cerise Laboratory's Pokémon information.
Late at night, Drizzile emerges from its burrow once again to feast on the food it has been given. It then wanders around the park, coming to the border and staring at the starry sky, hoping to become an Inteleon. Drizzile rushes around the park, once again practicing its Water Gun attack by hitting the trees and bushes scattered around the park's green grass. As Drizzile continues wandering, it notices the lab door is open and decides to head inside. As Drizzile enters the lab, the quiet is interrupted by beeping coming from the lab's computers. The mysterious figure is seen typing on the computer with robotic arms, pressing a button to deactivate a hologram in the lab. The figure then leaps from its chair and runs across the lab to escape. Drizzile attempts to follow the figure, though it instead heads out of the lab and back to its den.
Professor Cerise, Ren, and Chrysa all sit at a table, depressed by the lab's Pokémon data once again being breached. The researches reveal that some of Goh's more important information involving his Starter Pokémon have been stolen, leading Goh to also feel depressed. Professor Cerise apologized for the data loss again, though Ash tells him not to, for the data thief should be the one apologizing. The three researchers suddenly grow angered by the data thief and decide to head to the lab once more to change the security.
Nighttime falls on the park once again as Goh visits Drizzile's den to pick up its dish once filled with food. Goh talks to the den, not realizing Drizzile is camouflaged behind him. He informs Drizzile about the data being stolen and the lost data involving Drizzile while it was a Sobble. Upon seeing Goh's emotions about the lost data, Drizzile decides to train once more. Using Water Gun, it shoots at twigs and rocks, successfully hitting them one by one. Now successfully hitting the obstacles, Drizzile grows confident and looks at the night sky once more as the stars shine. While Drizzile trains, Goh looks around the Cerise Laboratory with a flashlight. After looking for a possible suspect, he spots that the door leading to the lab has been left open. He tiptoes towards the door and peeks inside, though Drizzile quickly arrives on the scene alongside Goh. The two witness the lab's computer turn on as the unknown culprit begins to type. Drizzile quickly uses Water Gun to directly hit the suspect, causing it to fall to the floor and reveal itself to be a Kecleon.
Surprised by the data thief to be a Pokémon, Goh identifies the Kecleon with his Rotom Phone. The Kecleon then begins to seemingly talk, surprising Goh as the Color Swap Pokémon attempts an escape. Drizzile quickly uses its tongue to tie Kecleon up, revealing a voice box in the thieving Pokémon's mouth. The box then sprouts mechanical arms, slapping Drizzile's tongue until Kecleon is released. Goh goes to Drizzile's aid while Kecleon dashes away, leaving the two to chase after it. The commotion caused by the thief wakes up Ash, Pikachu, and Professor Cerise. Ash groups up with Goh as Drizzile follows Kecleon to the roof of the laboratory. As Kecleon taunts Drizzile and the others, a boy descends towards the laboratory using a jetpack, revealing himself to be a boy named Gizmo, the true data thief.
As the boys and their Pokémon gather on the roof, Drizzile attempts to tackle Kecleon, only to be whipped by Kecleon's tail as it uses Sucker Punch. Gizmo then tells Kecleon to use Bind while Drizzile defends itself by using Pound. The two Pokémon clash with their tongue and tail until Kecleon's tongue catches Drizzile, binding the Water Lizard Pokémon before it is swung about and thrown against a wall. Goh runs to Drizzile once again to protect it while Drizzile tears up. While being protected by its Trainer, Drizzile remembers the memories it had with Goh, even when it was a little Sobble. After going through its memories, Drizzile begins to glow and evolve into Inteleon.
Gizmo's Kecleon whips its tongue towards the newly evolved Pokémon only for Inteleon to catch it while Goh scans his new team member with his Rotom Phone. Inteleon grips on Kecleon's tongue before throwing the Pokémon into the air, slamming her down into the roof of the laboratory to counter Kecleon's attack. Kecleon gets up and attempts to use Iron Tail, though the two attempts end up missing Inteleon while the Secret Agent Pokémon hits back with its tail. Gizmo, realizing he is losing, activates a pair of robotic arms from his jetpack to grab onto Kecleon and take off. Despite the two thieves retreating, Inteleon strikes Gizmo's jetpack with Snipe Shot, directly hitting the machine as Gizmo and his Kecleon fall towards the ground. However, Inteleon glides in to save the boy and his Pokémon before descending to the ground and dropping Gizmo. Kecleon holds Inteleon's hands and begins to turn a bright red as it falls in love with the Secret Agent Pokémon, causing a strong reaction from Gizmo as he pulls his Pokémon away. Ash, Pikachu, and Goh meet up with Inteleon as Gizmo and his Kecleon stand by.
Ash spots the revealed thieves and scolds them for stealing the laboratory's data. Ash then tells Goh to say something to Gizmo, though Goh realized what is gone is already gone. He tells Gizmo that the Pokémon data was very important to him, as it contained memories of his Pokémon. Professor Cerise arrives on the scene, causing Gizmo to go into a frenzy upon seeing the professor. The boy rushes to him, asking for an autograph while receiving a confused but surprised expression from both Ash and Goh. Professor Cerise tells Gizmo to be honest on why he stole the Pokémon data for the laboratory, leaving Gizmo to break out into tears as he reveals he loves and respects the Cerise Laboratory. As Gizmo cries while his Kecleon comforts him, Professor Cerise signs Yabashi's autograph paper, amazing and delighting him while he remains in tears. As the teary fan relishes the moment, Goh notices that his Inteleon has returned to the park.
Goh heads back to the old burrow Drizzile once lived in. While checking his Rotom Phone, he realizes the data is slowly being returned as he checks the profile for Sobble. Goh then looks up at the starry sky above the park as Inteleon appears next to him, looking up as well. While looking at his newly evolved Pokémon, Goh begins to tear up. Inteleon attempts to dry his tears, though Goh quickly wipes his face and stands tall alongside Inteleon as the two look at the twinkling stars.
