Sobble Spies a Stealthy Strategy! (Japanese: メッソン・イン・ポッシブル!, HepburnMesson in Posshiburu!trans. Sobble in Possible![Notes 2]) is the 6th episode of Pocket Monsters (2019 series), and Pokémon Journeys: The Series of Pokémon Journeys: The Series.

Synopsis[]

Ash and Goh have learned that a sequel to a popular movie is being filmed nearby, so they’re off! The movie features Jacqueline and her partner Inteleon, who fills Sobble with awe…because Inteleon is Sobble’s final evolved form! When our heroes ask to meet the movie stars, Jacqueline and Inteleon agree. The meeting inspires Goh and Sobble to work on using Sobble’s fear to its advantage in battle. And when Team Rocket embarks on a plan to steal Inteleon, Sobble gets to put its special training into action—to great effect! Sobble uses its newfound battling skills magnificently, and it starts feeling more secure about its own capabilities.[1]

Episode plot[]

At Cerise Park, Goh's Pokémon were playing with some balls then Cubone uses its bone to throw one as Pikachu hits it. Sobble tries to get it but ran away when Darmanitan appeared and scared it. Pikachu, Ash and Goh comfort Sobble as its Trainer tell it that Darmanitan likes to mess with other Pokémon. Ren runs in as he tells Ash and Goh that their shooting a movie at a ware house site. Also, Ren tells the boys that the movie their shooting is a squeal to a spy movie, much to Goh's excitement. Ash gets confused then Goh tells him about a female spy Pokémon Trainer with her partner Inteleon. Ash and Goh were shown information about Inteleon, which impresses Sobble. Also, Ash and Goh discover that Inteleon is Sobble final evolve form. Wanting to see it in person, Ash and Goh watch the movie shooting.

After arriving at the movie shooting, Goh sees the same director that they he and Ash meet before is also filming the spy movie. However, during the shooting, Team Rocket showed up as they attempted to steal Inteleon. Ash and Goh go confront them as Team Rocket brings out their Prize Master so they can have Pokémon to battle with. During the battle, Team Rocket sees that Sobble with them as they take advantage of its timid nature by making it cry, which Ash and Goh find unfair for scaring it like that. However, Inteleon help Ash and Goh out, which got Sobble to calm down upon seeing its final evolution. Inteleon defeats Team Rocket and sends them blasting off but the movie shooting ended early because of their interference along with the director asleep when he got hit from a Yawn attack. While talking about Inteleon, Goh notices Sobble absences but find it trying to meet its final evolve form. However, Sobble was stopped by a crew member but Goh apologizes for its trespassing then asked if they can spend time with it because they haven't seen one. Hearing this request, Inteleon Trainer accepts because of her schedule is now open. While hanging out, Goh sees that Sobble likes Inteleon as its Trainer tell him that his partner was like hers when it was in its first stage. Goh became surprised that her Inteleon is also her partner of camera while her Pokémon gives Sobble some pointers, much to its excitement.

After retuning to Cerise Park, Goh and Ash sees that Sobble really looks up to Inteleon as its trying to imitate it but Darmanitan scares it again but it tried to be brave but it got frighten then ran away. Goh finds Sobble as he offer to train to become stronger, which it accepts. Meanwhile, Team Rocket came up with another plan to see Inteleon. Goh and Ash go somewhere to do some training for Sobble. However, after a failed battle practice, Goh realized that he needs to help Sobble in a different way as he notices that people may see it as timid but protecting itself is good. Hearing Ash say running and hiding, Goh became inspired as he decided that he's gonna help Sobble with those abilities as he remembers the first rule about being a spy, concealing yourself without a sound and trace. Goh decides to play tag with Sobble as it run in order to avoid capture. Through this training, Sobble got better at hiding and avoiding capture as its Trainer along with their friends had a hard time finding it. While walking back to Cerise Laboratory, Ash and Goh sees someone in a net as they got him out of there. After getting him out, Goh realized that he one of crew members from before as he explained what happened. Hearing that his Gothita got kidnapped by Team Rocket, Ash and Goh go to rescue it while the crew member went to get everyone then inform him what happen.

Upon arriving, Ash and Goh see Meowth shape robots all around the area as they keep going in rescuing Gothita. After finding Gothita, Ash and Goh attempts to rescue it but got caught by Team Rocket as there frustrated that they came instead of Inteleon. Seeing that Sobble got away, Team Rocket tries to capture it but Goh has it use Water Gun up so it can turn invisible, which worked. Through this, Sobble was able to attack Team Rocket without being seen but they used flour to expose it. Although Goh told it to run, Sobble thought about Inteleon's advice as it decided not to then used a new move U-Turn then return to its PokéBall until Goh brought it back out, with the flour removed. Through Pikachu, Sobble and Cinderace teamwork, Ash and Goh got out of the cage then send Team Rocket blasting off again. After saving Gothita, Ash and Goh return it to its Trainer, as the movie crew gathered Team Rocket’s camera systems and found plenty of Sobble’s battle footage. The next day, Ash and Goh go looking for Sobble then finds it on top of a tree as it got even with Darmanitan for scaring it.
