Dreams Are Made of These! (Japanese: 夢へ向かってゴー!サトシとゴウ!!, Hepburn: Yume e Mukatte Gou! Satoshi to Gō!!, trans. Go Towards Your Dream! Satoshi and Gō!!) is the 20th episode of Pocket Monsters (2019 series), and Pokémon Journeys: The Series of Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Synopsis[]
It’s time for Professor Cerise’s Pokémon Orienteering session! Three teams of young kids will head to Vermilion Port, and the team that arrives first (while spotting the most Pokémon en route) wins! Ash and Goh serve as guides: Goh’s team marvels at how many Pokémon he’s caught, and Ash’s team is delighted when he shows off his battling skills. But when Team Rocket threatens to steal everyone’s Pokémon, Ash and Goh come up with a combination move that sends the villains blasting off again! The kids are full of admiration for Ash and Goh, and the professor declares this Pokémon Orienteering session a rousing success![1]
Episode plot[]
At the Cerise Laboratory, Goh and Ash are sleeping, but Chloe comes in to wake them up. Professor Cerise is welcoming the children, including his son Parker, to the Pokémon Orienteering event. Then, Professor Cerise introduces himself along with Chrysa, Ren, Goh, and Ash to the children. Parker happily greets Goh, but Chloe tries to calm her brother down so he wouldn't embarrass himself. Professor Cerise showcases the Pokémon available in Vermilion City to the children. Ash, Goh, Professor Cerise will lead the children in three different groups, as the goal is to showcase as many Pokémon as possible before reaching the main checkpoint.
After splitting up, Ash's group comes across a Persian and three Meowth that pursue a Rattata. A Raticate arrives and a furious battle ensues between the Pokémon. Officer Jenny disperses the altercation and chastises Ash for getting too close to wild Pokémon and abandoning young children. Ash sets his sight on a new learning activity for the children and introduces them to Jenny's Growlithe. In the distance, Team Rocket spots this, wishing to utilize this event too steal as many Pokémon as possible.
Meanwhile, Goh's group comes across a Pidgey, which he captures with ease. Then, Goh was told by the children that their something moving in the greenery then catches a male and female Nidoran. Chloe reminds Goh that he's suppose to teach the children something, to which he uses his Pokédex to showcase information about the Pokémon he caught. Then, Parker tells Goh that there another Pokémon as he sees an Oddish followed by a Poliwag from the other kid as he catches both of them. However, Chloe gets freaked out when three of Goh's new Pokémon go near her, but Goh and the children see that the three of them have taken a liking to her. Then, Goh spots a Farfetch'd as he attempts to catch it but it used its leek to swing back to him.
While looking for Pokémon, Ash is challenged by another Trainer named Oliver in the World Coronation Series. They dual with Pikachu and Meganium. Oliver is confident Electric-type are not very effective against Grass-type Pokémon. Pikachu takes Oliver by surprise and wins. Ash is boosted from rank 3,763 to 1,512, then shakes hands with Oliver for a good battle. After Oliver left, Ash tells the kids and that battle is about friendship between the Pokémon and trainer, also revealing he wishes to become a Pokémon Master in the future. Meanwhile, Goh caught a Grimer and a Ekans, then tells the children about his dream about catching every Pokémon in the world and works his way back to Mew. However, seeing the same Farfetch'd from before, Goh tries to catch the Wild Duck Pokémon again but fails once more.
Three groups meet at the harbor where two cloaked figures, none other than Jessie and James, point out a Lugia that everyone should try to defeat in a raid. When the teams use their Pokémon, Team Rocket reveals the Lugia is actually a hot air balloon and takes the Pokémon captive. However, a real Lugia appeared as it saved the captive Pokémon then Ash and Goh send Team Rocket blasting off.
Cerise announces the yellow team won the event, as Ash apologizes to his team for not winning, but there not upset about winning as they had a good day. Also, Goh's team feels the same way about having good day, even though they didn't win either. Chloe notices the same Farfetch'd that Goh has been trying to get all day as she informs him off its presence. Goh fakes Farfetch'd out as he got it swing first then used a Poké Ball to finally catch it. Meanwhile, the Lugia that helped reduced the captive Pokémon from Team Rocket was a transformed Mew.

- This is the first episode to show Meganium's gender differences. In this case, the Meganium that appears in the episode has long antennae, signifying that it is male.
- The title of the English dub is likely a reference to the song "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", a song by British new wave duo Eurythmics.
- This is the first episode of the Japanese dub of the Pokémon anime where they removed the word "55th" from the opening credits and the ending credits.
- The English TV guide for YTV uses Japanese names, instead of dub ones: "During Pokémon Orientation Day, six visiting children are split into three teams; Satoshi and Pikachu show their kids Pokémon-battling; Go goes on a Pokémon-catching spree with his duo; Rocket-Dan tries to steal Pikachu, Rabbifuto and Wanpachi".
