The Rising Volt Tacklers are hard at work repairing the Brave Olivine. Dot and Quaxly and trying to get Tinkatink back, while Liko is bathing her Hatenna and Terapagos, ignoring Sprigatito, who moves away from her. Along the other side of the platform is a building shaped like a cat, which intrigues her.
Roy bursts in and suggests a battle with Liko. She agrees and calls Sprigatito. During the battle, the battling Pokemon swap ends. As Roy commands Fuecoco to dodge Leafage, Liko steps in-front of it to prevent her other Pokemon - sounding keen to join in the battle, getting hit, causing her to hurt her arm, upsetting Sprigatito and forcing the battle to end abruptly.
Mollie wraps the wound on Liko's wrist with a bandage. An upset Sprigatito exits the ship and walks past the ajar fence toward the cat building, losing Liko. Liko, after losing her Pokemon, initiates a talk with Ludlow about her whereabouts. Liko decides to get Sprigatito back, while promising that Terapagos and Hatenna can look after each other. As Liko leaves, Hatenna notices Terapagos has gone missing, starting to panic. Meanwhile, Liko calls Sprigatito from between the fence. After noticing one of them, she follows that Pokemon, but it threatens her back by growling. A group of Sprigatito look at Liko, causing her to sweatdrop and panic. She is then jumpscared by a voice, revealing herself to be a feline Pokemon breeder named Manya. She apologizes and bows to her, before Manya remembers Liko's name, to her surprise. During a discussion between the two, Liko's Sprigatito had been sleeping on the roof of the building. Manya then mentions about partnerships becoming broken if the Partner and Pokemon don't get along any more, panicking and angering Liko, suggesting that her and Sprigatito make a great team, and cancels the conversation to look for her Partner Pokemon.
Liko starts searching around the place, until she notices a Sprigatito high on the roof, and decides to call. That Sprigatito responds back to her, until realizing that it is Liko, becoming miserable and turning away again. Liko follows her Pokemon as the latter walks along the roof, followed by the inside of the house. Meanwhile, Terapagos and Hatenna arrive outside the fence. Liko grabs Sprigatito and holds on tightly in an attempt to calm her down, which causes the other cat Pokemon to take notice. However, Sprigatito scratches Liko on her hand and lets go, hurrying off. Liko, after looking at her sccarred hand, recalls a flashback of the first episode, the last time she got scratched by her Pokemon. Liko is then offered a cup of green tea by Manya. Liko enjoys the taste, despite it being bitter. Manya then recalls a story as to what happened with Liko's Sprigatito when it first came into the building, that while it was able to make friends with the other Sprigatito, it soon would last long. As her friends soon got caught by Spidops' webs, she attempted to release them herself. However, her Leafage was so strong that it caused her friends to crash into the tree, shocking her and Manya. The impact had overwhelmed them and caused them to leave Liko's Sprigatito alone. Liko's Sprigatito was left despondent and alone, which was why it slept on the roof. Liko recalls a flashback of her Pokemon trying to pull off Leafage. Manya them mentions Liko's first online meeting, and how relieved she was when Sprigatito become Liko's partner while she was there watching Liko choose a starter Pokemon.
As her Sprigatito walks alone in the forest, Liko finds her and playfully grabs and tickles her. Just as the Sprigatito goes to scratch her back, she realizes that she's looking at her Trainer. Liko then explains, trying to reading her Pokemon's mind of what they had been going through, and why Liko's Pokemon means so much to her, in an attempt to re-unite their friendship. The Pokemon them becomes apologietic, and accepts a hug, which Liko thanks her for. Suddenly, they hear a cry from a distance. The Spidops traps Liko's other two Pokemon in a web. Just as Sprigatito is about to unleash Leafage, it hesitates, until being encouraged by her partner. The Sprigatito then learns a new move, Magical Leaf, to take out Spidops in one hit and free Hatenna and Terapagos, who pet back at her, confirming their reunion between Liko and her Pokemon, which pleases Manya.
Later on, Sprigatito would use that new move to take out Roy's Fuecoco during a rematch between the two, impressing the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers. Liko and Sprigatito celebrate with a high-five.
