Eventually, Roy and Fuecoco meet up with Liko, but the wild Pokémon remain angry, so Friede and Captain Pikachu come to the rescue. Episode plot[]
Liko wakes up on the Brave Olivine with her partner, remarking that school break is almost over. Hearing some singing, she goes outside to investigate, finding the source coming from Fuecoco. Embarrassed, Fuecoco runs away. Liko then heads to the kitchen where she greets the Rising Volt Tacklers, who compliment her outfit. Professor Friede tasks Liko with being the lookout. Liko continues writing notes on Sprigatito as the ship loses altitude, waking it up. Friede is also surprised and asks Orla if anything was wrong, but she tells him that the engine is fine. Spotting an island in the distance, Friede lands the ship there, launching two grappling hooks to the cliff sides.
As Liko feeds the Pokémon, Orla discovers and informs the other members that there are ruptures on the balloon. As they don't have the materials to fix the ship on-hand, they would have to source them from the island. Friede remembers that there was someone who took care of him on the island and goes out to find him. Heading to his Charizard, who was playing with Fuecoco, they depart. Fuecoco, still wanting to play, tries to chase after Charizard but goes overboard, while Roy is practicing on the beach.
Liko notices that Fuecoco is not with the rest of the Pokémon and asks Murdock where it went. Murdock told her that it was trying to sneak food, so his Rockruff told it off, just as Orla calls him for help, as she has trouble fixing the tears. Liko then finds Ludlow, who tells her that Fuecoco likes singing but stops as soon as someone spots it doing so. After learning from Mollie that it often played with Charizard on the deck, Liko goes up there and finds claw marks, realizing that it had fallen off the ship. She disembarks and sets off to find it.
In the forest, Roy opens his Rotom Pokédex and enters an online session with his friends, who had acquired various Pokémon. Roy envies them and tells them that his island doesn't have any Pokémon Trainers, so he can't go and catch Pokémon despite being close to them, though he states that he wishes to be one as he has a plan that requires a Pokémon, taking out a strange Poké Ball. After the class, Nidothing hosts a stream about how to catch Pokémon. During this time, Fuecoco discovers a strange building and enters it, while Liko and Sprigatito find a tree and angry Pokémon, who attack them with String Shot.
Roy discovers his secret base opened and begins to investigate, hearing a strange song. As he heads towards the source, he discovers Fuecoco and compliments it. Fuecoco is startled and runs away, with Roy chasing after it. He manages to catch it and spots the Brave Olivine in the process. Back at the village, the elder is unimpressed with Friede's return and asks him to sort it out himself, when a villager informs her that the forest Pokémon are on a rampage. Roy and Fuecoco head into another area of the forest and he asks it to sing again. Fuecoco is initially nervous but accepts when Roy compliments its voice. In another area of the forest, Liko and Sprigatito are still being chased when two Scyther appear.
As Roy and Fuecoco continue eating berries, they hear the angry Pokémon and investigate. Roy's strange Poké Ball seems to resonate with Liko's pendant during the chase, surprising her. Roy manages to get her attention by throwing a rock on the trees, and she is surprised to see Fuecoco with him. After a short introduction, the angry mob returns. Liko has Sprigatito use Leafage, but the Pokémon are unfazed and use String Shot to ensnare them. As they are dragged away to the tree, Liko realizes that Fuecoco had angered them by eating their food stash. Friede and his Pokémon then appear, surprised at the revelation. Charizard volunteers to help, but Friede stops it from doing so, as its fire would make the situation worse. Therefore, he and Captain Pikachu improvise, using the Pokémon's String Shot to bind them. He then feeds them a berry each to calm them down.
Untying the group, Roy is excited to meet a Pokémon Professor, though Liko is surprised he is one. To apologize to the wild Pokémon, they restore their food stash by gathering more berries. The group then parts ways. As night falls, Liko wonders why her pendant shined again; Fuecoco goes singing, while Roy is excited to have met new friends. At another area, a mysterious stranger asks for a progress report from Amethio, who tells him about the pendant's powers. He then asks him if he had informed Master Gibeon of this, but Amethio states that he has planned his next move and tells him not to report anything yet. The stranger advises him to be careful, as Friede is a capable opponent. Amethio and his subordinates are then revealed to be traveling on a submarine to the island.
