The New World (Japanese: 新しい世界, Hepburn: Atarashii Sekai, trans. New World) is the 11th episode of Pokémon Generations.
Synopsis[]
With the beginnings of a new universe laid out before him, Cyrus of Team Galactic faces extreme opposition. But aid arrives in an unusual form.[1]
Episode plot[]
At the Spear Pillar, Cyrus summons Dialga and Palkia. The two are summoned from two portals and are captured by the Red Chain. His subordinates, two ladies, are pleased, as Cyrus declares a new beginning marks the birth of a new world. He orders Dialga and Palkia to use their powers to create a new galaxy. The Legendary Pokémon are restrained and emit shockwaves, which nearly make the temple crumble. Cyrus' subordinates congratulate their leader for managing to succeed in creating a new world.
Suddenly, the Sinnoh Champion, Cynthia arrives with her Garchomp, demanding that Dialga and Palkia are released. Suddenly, dark portals appear on the floor of the Spear Pillar. Cyrus smiles, while everyone is surprised. A dark being emerges from the portal. Seeing that this shadowy being, Giratina, came to stop them, Cyrus has Dialga and Palkia attack it with their respective signature moves, Roar of Time, and Spacial Rend. However, Giratina fires two Shadow Ball attacks which shatter the Red Chain and set Dialga and Palkia loose. Giratina then looms over Cyrus and consumes him. The Team Galactic forces shout Cyrus' name, as he is gone. At Team Galactic HQ, an admin desperately tries to contact Cyrus though a headset.
Elsewhere, Cyrus wakes up, seeing he is in the Distortion World, as Giratina brought him here. He sarcastically asks Giratina, who is looming over and staring blankly at him, if it is satisfied with ruining his plans. Giratina doesn't answer. Cyrus looks at the Distortion World, seeing there is nothing in here. Cyrus thinks he seeks an imperfect world that requires no spirit and believes this is the one he sought out. Cyrus looks at Giratina and smiles once more. The admin at HQ manages to contact Cyrus, who demands they don't look for him. The admin tries to ask where he is, but a mighty roar is heard. A grunt asks where Cyrus is. The admin furiously clenches the headset and simply says that he understands Cyrus' request.
