    Trivia[]

    • Oinkologne is the only Pokémon introduced in Generation IX to have a gender difference.
    • Female Oinkologne and its pre-evolution, Lechonk, are the only Pokémon that can have the Ability Aroma Veil as a Regular Ability instead of a Hidden Ability.

    Origin[]

Oinkologne is based on a black Iberian pig.

    Etymology[]

Oinkologne's name is combination of "oink" which is the sound a pig makes, and cologne. Its proclivity for tidiness is a reference to how real-life pigs are very clean and hygienic animals, which contrasts to how they are commonly stereotyped as being messy.

Pafyūton, its Japanese name, is a portmanteau of perfume, perfect, ton (referring to its fat physique), and 豚 (ton, pig).
