Night Shade is a Ghost-type move introduced in Generation I. It was the signature move of the Gastly evolutionary line in Generation I.

Description

Effect

In battle

Night Shade does damage to the target that is equal to the user's level. In a Double Battle, Night Shade can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Night Shade can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user.
