Myron is Jasmine's grandfather. He told Ash, Misty and Brock that Ampharos is at the old lighthouse, as its tail shines at night for the boats that come to the ferry. Even with the new lighthouse, the tourists visit the old lighthouse. When the heroes departed for Cianwood City, Myron and Jasmine bid farewell to them and Janina.
