Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver[]
Mrs. Bellows was tracking her Abra that frequently teleported. When she encountered a huge Gengar, Abra appeared and used its psychic attacks, but was absorbed. However, once the Gengar (which was a machine) was electrocuted, her Abra was freed.
