The Mossdeep Space Center is a location introduced in Generation III.

Description

Mossdeep Space Center is a two-story space center located in Mossdeep City in Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version, Pokémon Emerald Version, and the remakes Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. It was constructed in Mossdeep City because of the city's ideal weather consisting of sunny weather and stable winds. The symbol for the people's wishes of the rocket flying safely is depicted as a white rock. A Sun Stone can be obtained from a Sailor here in every game that Mossdeep Space Center appears in.

After the events of Seafloor Cavern, the Mossdeep Space Center is closed due to the extreme weather conditions caused by the awakening of Kyogre or Groudon. This persists until the player battles Kyogre or Groudon at the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis City.

Mossdeep Space Center has a major role in the plot of Pokémon Emerald Version. Team Magma tries to take the fuel from the rocket after failing to gain control of Groudon. Before this, Team Magma sends a note to the Mossdeep Space Center telling them that they will take the fuel, causing the workers there to panic. Team Magma begins to attack after the player obtains the Mind Badge at the Mossdeep City Gym. The player has to win against Team Magma Grunts in three separate Pokémon Battles on the second floor. After this, the player engages in a Double Battle with Steven Stone against Tabitha and Maxie. After the player and Steven win the Double Battle, the latter gives the player HM08 (Dive).

Mossdeep Space Center also plays a role in the story of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. It adds a level 45 Kecleon behind a face board, after completing the Delta Episode, and it can be revealed using the Devon Scope only.
