Mick is a child, who lost against his friends, Sean and Glenn, in battles. When Pikachu fell from a tree, Mick believed it to be a pre-evolved form of Zekrom. He showed it to his friends, who wanted to take it, but Mick ran off with Pikachu, since he found it. He found Pikachu's original owner, Ash, who, along with Cilan and Iris, gave him pointers about battles. Mick later battled Glenn, using Pikachu and Krokorok against Glenn's Seismitoad and Scolipede, which were borrowed from Sean. Glenn fought offensively, but lost after a combo of Electro Ball and Crunch. Glenn proceeded to punch Mick, but Ash stopped him, for it was not fair. Eventually, Mick and others watched as Ash battled Krokorok and captured it.
