The Meteorite is a key item introduced in Generation III.
Effect[]
In Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, the Meteorite can be given back to Professor Cozmo in exchange for TM27 Return.
In FireRed and LeafGreen, after Lostelle is rescued at the Berry Forest, the Meteorite can be given her father at the Game Corner on Two Island in exchange for a Moon Stone.
In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Meteorite cannot be given back to Professor Cozmo, and instead changes appearance during the story. It changes into its second form after obtaining the Devon Scope, then changes into its third form after defeating the rival at Lilycove City, and finally changes into its fourth form after defeating Zinnia in Granite Cave during the Delta Episode. At the summit of Sky Pillar, the Meteorite is swallowed by Rayquaza. Beyond this point, any Rayquaza that knows Dragon Ascent can be Mega Evolved.
