Manya is a character appearing in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. She was Liko's Floragato's caretaker, and a Pokémon Breeder who specializes in feline Pokémon.
Appearance[]
Manya has medium-length, dark purple hair with light blue streaks, and brown eyes with pink lipstick and eye-makeup. She wears a light-grey long shirt and a long apron. The apron is brown and has a pink cat logo on the chest, and a bigger red logo around the waist, and a cat's paw logo at the bottom-left corner. She wears blue-gray leggings and gold shoes with white soles and three digit paws.
Biography[]
Manya used to look after Liko's Sprigatito, whom she had noticed to be a reticent and independent individual. At first, Manya was happy for Sprigatito to have made some new friends after Sprigatito saved them with her Leafage. However, Manya later witnessed Sprigatito's friendship with her kin came to an end after Sprigatito accidentally hurt them when saving them from a Spidops. During one of her visits to Indigo Academy, she noticed Sprigatito staring at Liko who was on the other side of a teacher's Rotom Phone, so she believed that Liko would be a good match with Sprigatito.
As Sprigatito returned to the daycare, Manya was shocked, and believed something bad must've happened to the cat. When Liko visited Manya's daycare, Manya kindly invited the girl for tea. She explained Sprigatito's past to Liko, and said she had been doing her job as a Breeder to introduce different cat Pokémon to Trainers. After Sprigatito defeated the same Spidops, Manya told Liko that Sprigatito's Leafage had evolved into Magical Leaf due to Liko's bond with the cat. She was therefore glad that Sprigatito was able to find friends who cherish her.[1]
