Mallow is a Trial Captain that specializes in Grass type Pokémon. She appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Appearance
Mallow is a girl with tanned skin, who has a pink flower in her green hair and has green eyes. She wears a salmon colored sleeveless shirt with light teal overalls. She wears light teal cut-off denim shorts and green shoes with small dark green bows. She also has a golden clover-shaped badge on her waist.
Personality
Mallow is a very upbeat and cheerful young lady, who happens to be the 3rd Akala Island Trial Captain. She is a skilled user of Grass type Pokemon, and loves making food related metaphors as you converse with her. She appears to have a great relationship with Akala's other Trial Captains, as they are not hesitant to try "The Mallow Specialty", the end result of a series of tasks required to face her powerful Totem Pokemon.

The first Pokémon you encounter under Mallow's control is her Totem Pokémon, an unusually large and powerful Lurantis. Its Totem Aura is especially dangerous, as it grants a +2 (rose sharply!) speed stat bonus, allowing it to begin charging Solar Blade sooner, or letting it use Synthesis just as you about to knock it out. It is holding a Power Herb, allowing it a single, one turn usage of Solar Blade. During Battle: Lurantis may call for help, resulting in 1 of 3 options: "Its help didn't appear!", a wild ally Castform, or a wild ally Trumbeak.
