Pokémon: Magikarp Jump is a mobile spin-off game.
Gameplay[]
Instead of catching Pokémon as usual, the player character catches a Magikarp, feeds it and trains it. Trainers then have their Magikarp compete against that of non-player characters in league-jumping contests. The one whose Magikarp has the higher jump power will win the jump-off. Winning a jump-off will award Trainer Points and coins. With enough Trainer Points, the player character's Trainer level increases. A Magikarp's maximum level is dependent on the player character's Trainer level. When reaching its maximum level, a Magikarp is retired, whereupon the player character fishes up a new Magikarp to feed and train.
