Appearances[]
Core series[]
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y[]
In Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, the player first enters Lysandre Labs after being informed by Lysandre that the ultimate weapon has been completed. After winning a Pokémon battle against a male Team Flare Grunt, who is disguised as a waiter, and a female Team Flare Grunt, similarly disguised as a waitress, the player can enter Lysandre Labs from the cabinet behind the female Team Flare Grunt.
Upon entering Lysandre Labs, the player is greeted on floor B1 by Lysandre, who challenges them to a battle. Lysandre also mentions that one of his team members has the Elevator Key and that they have to fight the Team Flare members and their Scientists to find it. The Elevator Key is eventually revealed to be owned Mable, the last Team Flare member fought on floor B1.
With the Elevator Key, the player can access the other two main floors. On B2, there are no Pokémon Trainers to battle, and it is where AZ is imprisoned. On B3, the player battles Xerosic. After being defeated, Xerosic gives the player the choice to press one of two buttons, with one activating the ultimate weapon and one doing nothing. Even if the player presses the button that has no function, Xerosic proceeds to press the other button to activate the ultimate weapon.
During the Looker Bureau missions, Malva unlocks access to a hidden floor with the same layout as B1. On the hidden floor, the player can fight some Scientists and Lumiose Gang Members.
Anime[]
Unlike the core series, Lysandre Labs does not appear to take place in Lumiose City, but at a forest area instead. It is not only the research center of Lysandre and Team Flare but also the home of Lysandre.
In "Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special II", Lysandre Labs is only mentioned, but it is revealed that Alain formerly worked with Lysandre there.
In "Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special III", Lysandre Labs appears directly for the first time. Alain and Lysandre return there after returning from Hoenn. It is shown that Lysandre Labs has its own training facilities, with Alain deciding to train his Charizard there.
In "Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special IV", Alain battles Malva and several other trainers specialized in Mega Evolution at Lysandre Labs. Chespie also manages to free a Zygarde Core named Squishy from several Scientists working at the lab.
In "From A to Z!", Chespie is rescued from Lysandre Labs by Mairin as well as Serena and Professor Sycamore. The same episode, the Team Rocket trio infiltrates Lysandre Labs, wanting to take over it and Kalos at large.
In "Love Strikes! Eevee, Yikes!", Lysandre Labs is destroyed by Zygarde 50% Forme, which formed from the Giant Rock after absorbing Chespie.
Trading Card Game[]
Lysandre Labs is one of the cards within the Forbidden Light expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
