This Hattrem is a Psychic-type Pokémon owned by Liko.
Personality[]
As a Hatenna, Hattrem was scared around others at first, being extremely shy and reclusive. She also was afraid of loud noises and strong emotions. But being with Liko has helped her overcome her crippling shyness, as she cares deeply for her Trainer.
True to her species, Hatenna is very sensitive to conflicts, such as towards Mollie and Murdock's quarrel in "The Lonely Hatenna". As long as she feels comfortable, she usually likes sleeping in Liko's hoodie, unless the surrounding situation becomes too intense for her to handle.
Hatenna is also perceptive, being able to sense a person's intention in "The Stolen Treasure" with her psychic powers.
After evolving, Hattrem becomes more emboldened, silencing those emitting strong emotions. However, she still retains her kindness by healing those she has hit afterwards.
Biography[]
As Hatenna[]
Hattrem first appeared as a Hatenna while running away from the Galar Mine. When a group of wild Pokémon tries to interact with her, Hatenna panicked and ran away from them. After finding a mountain hut, Hatenna heads inside, but falls into a box. Hatenna then falls asleep where she is discovered by Liko and her Sprigatito, and the two decide to take her back to the Brave Olivine as they are worried that something is wrong with her. Upon waking up, Hatenna sees Liko and smiles as she senses Liko's calm emotions. Hatenna stays with Liko until she gets scared when Dot expresses strong emotions. After that, Hatenna keeps looking around the ship for a quiet spot, until she decides to hang at the observation deck. When Liko comes to the observation deck, Hatenna hid from her until she hears her say that she understand how it feels to be lonely in a new place with new people and Pokémon. Feeling a connection with Liko, Hatenna comes out and jumps into her hood, which leads them to bond with each other. After that, Hatenna passes out in Liko's hood and sleeps in there for the whole night. The next morning, Hatenna is brought back to the mountain hut and is going to return to the wild. However, through Sprigatito's, who realizes the friendship she has formed with Liko and doesn't want her new friend to leave, encouragement, Hatenna decides to stay with her new friends. Hatenna jumps into Liko's arms and is caught by Liko. After being caught, Hatenna shakes hands with Sprigatito as a sign of their friendship and becoming teammates. Hatenna then jumps into Liko's hood and accompanies them to the Galar Mine.[1]
Hatenna then meets some Pokémon inside the Galar Mine, and starts opening up once being encouraged by Liko to eat some snacks. When encountering a Galarian Moltres, Hatenna senses the Galarian Moltres's sorrows and sheds a tear for it.[2] She later notices a mysterious Pokémon that has appeared from behind a rock after the Moltres has been placated, leading to Liko finding out the pendant is a Terapagos.[3]
When Terapagos confronts Amethio, Hatenna senses Terapgos's strong anger towards the young man, and she faints after running around Terapagos. Therefore, Liko has to return Hatenna to her Poké Ball.[4]
When Liko, Roy and Professor Friede approach Tepen, Hatenna tries to warn Liko after she senses Tepen's deceit, but Liko believes Hatenna is just hungry and ignores her warning. Later, Hatenna uses Confusion to lift a shovel in order to retrieve the Ancient Poké Ball, but fails once Tepen's Lampent uses Thief to steal the Ancient Poké Ball again.[5]
When observing Mollie's Chansey, Hatenna becomes eager to learn Heal Pulse, even imitating Chansey's actions. She later finds out some injured Pokémon of what seem to be a pair of Tandemaus. Worried, Hatenna decides to take one of Chansey's eggs to find Liko and Sprigatito, and discovers that the Pokémon is a family of Maushold. When the Maushold is unable to eat the egg due to fatigue, Hatenna finally learns Heal Pulse and heals them successfully.[6]
Hatenna is tasked to look over Terapagos by Liko, who has to find the runaway Sprigatito. When Terapagos runs off, Hatenna follows Terapgos to Manya's home, only for both of them to be caught by a Spidops. Fortunately, they are both rescued and reunited with Sprigatito and Liko, after Sprigatito learns Magical Leaf to safely cut the Spidops' threads.[7]
Hatenna heals Luka and her friends after seeing them being hurt. She then protects Terapagos from being pelted by a pebble. After helping with repairing the Annihilape and its kin's home, she later tries to calm three Annihilape down but to no avail, putting herself in danger. As she is almost hit by their Rage Fist attacks, Hatenna evolves into Hattrem.[8]
As Hattrem[]
After she evolved, Hattrem senses the Annihilape's strong emotions and unveils her newly learned Brutal Swing to violently silence and defeat the Annihilape. She then shows her kind side by reviving and healing them with her Heal Pulse afterwards. Later, Hattrem tries to enter Liko's hoodie, but gives up after realizing she no longer fits inside the hood, which is likely due to the fact that evolving made Hattrem's body too big to fit in Liko's hood, so she travels alongside her Trainer instead.[8]
Hattrem sends herself out to break off a fight between a Bergmite and Frigibax, after having had enough of their mutual hostility.[9]
Hattrem is sent out against Grusha's Cetitan, after Liko switches Floragato out. Despite having tried her best to use her Psychic-type moves against Cetitan, Hattrem is still defeated.[10]
Hattrem is deployed by Liko to fight against Roy's Kilowattrel, although she is overpowered by Kilowattrel subsequently. However, she activates her Healer ability before Kilowattrel delivers the finishing blow, which is able to heal Floragato up from Paralysis.[11]
