This Rillaboom is a Grass-type Pokémon owned by Leon.
Biography[]
Rillaboom was Leon's first Pokémon sent out in his match against Alain, where it faced off against Alain's Chesnaught. During the fight, Leon Gigantmaxed Rillaboom, although it was still unable to defeat Chesnaught by the time it wore off, only prevailing after using Acrobatics against it. Alain then sent his Charizard, who easily defeated Rillaboom with Flare Blitz.[1]
Rillaboom was later used in Leon's match against Diantha, where it was able to overpower her Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Goodra and Gourgeist. It was only stopped by Gardevoir, although Rillaboom had done enough damage to her that Leon easily won the match.[2]
Rillaboom was the fifth Pokémon sent out in Leon's match against Ash, taking advantage of Leon having exhausted all four of Ash's remaining Pokémon. Rillaboom showed immense power and skill, skillfully using Drum Beating to weaken Dragonite's Hurricane before defeating it with Acrobatics, then proceeding to survive Meteor Assault from Sirfetch'd before swiftly defeating it as well. It then went up against Ash's Dracovish, but Dracovish ultimately managed to counter Drum Beating before hitting it with a powerful Dragon Rush, and despite Rillaboom's best efforts, the damage proved too much for it and it fainted. Despite this, it did enough damage to Dracovish for Leon's Cinderace to effortlessly finish it off immediately afterward.
