This Herdier is a Normal-type Pokémon owned by Lenora.
Biography
Lillipup lickes Ash before the battle.
Before Ash's match with Lenora began, Lenora sent Watchog and Lillipup, to let Ash know which Pokémon he'll face with. When Lillipup was first sent out, both Iris and Ash thought it was quite cute. However, it was shown to be fierce in battle, surprising Iris. In its battle with Ash, just as Tepig attempted to use Ember, Lillipup used Roar to send Tepig back. Ash was forced to send Oshawott to come out, while Lillipup was sent back to its Poké Ball. Later on, Lillipup was sent back out when Watchog defeated Oshawott. Tepig attempted to tackle Lillipup, who used Shadow Ball on Tepig. Ash's Tepig used Ember on Lillipup, who endured the attack and charged in with Take Down, defeating Tepig and causing Ash to lose against Lenora.[1]

Before Ash's rematch began, Lenora, like in the first battle, showed her Pokémon, revealing Herdier, since Lenora had enough time to train her own Pokémon as well. Ash sent Tepig against Lenora's Herdier, who used Protect against Tepig's Ember. Like in the first match, Tepig attempted to tackle Herdier, who used Roar, causing Tepig to be called in its own Pokémon, while Lenora switched Herdier for Watchog. After Ash's Oshawott defeated Watchog, Lenora sent Herdier to battle. While Herdier managed to use Protect against Tepig's Ember, Tepig managed to tackle it. Tepig attempted to repeat the attack, but was hit by Herdier's Shadow Ball, and, a moment later, by Herdier's Giga Impact. Herdier tried to attack Tepig with Shadow Ball, but Tepig dodged, although Tepig was feeling exhausted. Herdier attempted to defeat Tepig with more Shadow Ball attacks, but missed. Tepig clashed with Herdier, using Flame Charge against Herdier's Giga Impact. After the clash, Herdier was defeated, thus making Ash the winner of the battle.[2]
