Lei is a character appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. He briefly appeared as an unborn baby at the end of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon - Ultra Legends prior to the said next series.

As Ash left the Alola region, Lei's mother was shown to be pregnant with him.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series[]
Later, he was shown with his parents and met Ash for the first time. He took to immediately take a liking to meet his "big brother" when Ash visited alongside Goh.
Lei and his family appeared once again when Lillie's family returned to Alola. He accompanied his mother to watch his father and "brother" battle in a Battle Royale.
He had also appeared to have started mimicking what his "brother" does, like raising his hands like Ash does, and when both his father and "brother" do the "Enjoy" pose, he tried to mimic that too by saying it, but couldn't get the word right due to being a baby and was still learning to speak actual words.

- Lei is the first human character to have been born in the show's continuity.
- Despite not having any biological relation, Lei sees Ash as his big brother.
- The word "Lei", is Hawaiian for "floral garland" and figurative term for "beloved child".
- In the Latin American dub Lei is referred to as a girl.
