Biography[]
Kricketina first appeared at Vermilion City's Pokémon Center, where a Pokémon Trade Event was being held. She was trying to find a Pinsir to trade for her Heracross, because Pinsir weren't native to her home region of Sinnoh. When Goh appeared, she was impressed that he realized that her outfit was based on Kricketune and asked if he was into Bug-type Pokémon. She became ecstatic when he told her that he had a collection of all 12 Kanto Bug-types. Their conversation was interrupted when her Rotom Phone announced that a Pokémon World Championship challenger was nearby, and her opponent ended up being Ash. Kricketina used her Heracross against Ash's Pikachu, but ended up losing. Afterwards, Kricketina asked Goh to trade his Pinsir for her Heracross, but Goh refused. Kricketina was disappointed, but Ash and Goh decided to help her find a wild one to capture. Goh took her to Vermilion Forest, where he caught his Pinsir. Goh brought out his Pinsir, and Kricketina gave it a hug, which caused it to throw her off, before Pinsir hid behind Goh after seeing Heracross.
After searching with no luck, Kricketina decided to make a special honey that would be irresistible to wild Pokémon. She provided the ingredients and Heracross mixed them up. After they set out their lures, and still having no luck, they found out that Team Rocket members Jessie, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet had eaten most of the honey. Team Rocket captured Ash, Kricketina, Pikachu, Raboot, and Sobble, leaving just Goh, Heracross, and Pinsir to defend themselves. Goh attempted to have Pinsir battle, but it refused, which left Goh and Heracross to team up. When Jessie attempted to steal Pinsir, Heracross protected her, causing Pinsir to develop a crush on Heracross. After Goh and Heracross sent Team Rocket blasting off, a wild Pinsir finally appeared. Since Kricketina was still captured, Goh caught it instead. Afterwards, Kricketina suggested to trade his new Pinsir for her Heracross so that her Heracross could be Goh's Pinsir since they were in love with each other. Goh agreed, and they returned to the Pokémon Center and used a Trade Machine to make the exchange official. Kricketina gave her new Pinsir a big hug upon receiving it.
