Trivia

  • Klinklang and its pre-evolutions are the second, third and fourth Pokémon to have the ability Plus, with Plusle as the first, and are also the second, third and fourth ones with the ability Minus, with the first as Minun.
  • Klinklang is the only Pokémon which is used twice by N; the first used in Chargestone Cave as a Klink, and used in the final battle against him as a Klinklang.
  • Klink, Klang and Klinklang's right gear stays the same as it evolves.
  • In the Anime series, Klinklang is the only Pokemon to be fully animated in CGI.

Origin

Klinklang is based on a large network of three rotating gears, mainly a combination of sun and planet gears, a bevel gear, and an external gear. The Shiny variation of Klinklang (along with its pre-evolved forms) is mostly derived from how gears have their colors changed to copper through oxidization.

Etymology

Klinklang's name is a combination of the names of its two pre-evolutions, both of which are named after metallic sounds (cling, and clang).
