Kecleon Shops (Japanese: カクレオンのお店, Hepburn: Kecleon's Shop) are facilities in the Mystery Dungeon series, where the player can buy and sell items. They can be found in towns and in dungeons, each having different mechanics.
In towns[]

Kecleon Shop in Pokémon Square, in Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.
In Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team and Rescue Team DX, a Kecleon Shop is located at Pokémon Square. The green Kecleon runs the Kecleon Shop which sells items like food, while the purple Kecleon runs the Kecleon Wares which sells items like TMs and keys.
In Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, a Kecleon Shop, also run by the Kecleon Brothers, is located at Treasure Town.
In Stormy, Blazing, and Light Adventure Squad, a Kecleon Shop is located in Pokémon Village/Pokémon Beach/Pokémon Garden. Unlike the previous games, only the green Kecleon runs the shop.
In Gates to Infinity, a Kecleon Shop, also only run by the green Kecleon, is located in Post Town.
In Super Mystery Dungeon, a Kecleon Shop is located in every town (Serene Village, Lively Town, Baram Town, Capim Town, Noe Town, Sahra Town) each. The shop, again only run by the green Kecleon, also sells Lapras Liner Passes. During the crisis of Pokémon being turned to stone, Kecleon, along with other shopkeepers, appears in the Expedition Society's building instead.
In dungeons[]

Kecleon Shops can also appear in dungeons, although there are sone dungeons where Kecleon Shops do not appear at all. The area of the shop is represented by carpet tiles, with a Kecleon appearing on one of the tiles. They sell items ranging from Berries to TMs; some of them are not available in the shops in towns.
When the player steps on the Kecleon Shop, the music changes and they are greeted by the Kecleon. To buy an item, the player picks up the item and then talks to Kecleon to pay; to sell an item, the player drops the item and talks to Kecleon to get the Poké. If the player attempts to leave without paying, Kecleon will warp to the player's side and then ask for paying; if the player denies and then leaves the shop or does not have enough money to pay, Kecleon lables the player as a thief. If the Player uses an escape orb while carrying items that have not yet been bought or stolen, the items will disappear from the bag.
Upon being labelled as a thief, the background music changes, Escape Orb cannot be used, and the Kecleon becomes hostile to the player. All normal enemies stop spawning; instead, level 90 Kecleon with high stats and double speed spawn.
Before Gates to Infinity, using Trawl Orb would also trawl items inside Kecleon Shop, thereby labelling the player as a thief; since Gates to Infinity, items in shops are prevented from being trawled. Battling the Kecleon is also the only way to recruit Kecleon.

- Instruction booklet bio: (Explorers of Time/Darkness): These shops are run by the Kecleon brothers. The older Kecleon sells Berries, Seeds, and similar items at his Kecleon Shop. The younger Kecleon brother deals in TMs and so on at Kecleon Wares. The merchandise selection will change as you progress through the story.
