Kangaskhan Storage is a location introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team.

Description[]

Kangaskhan Storage is a small storage unit run by Kangaskhan in earlier installments of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. Here, Kangaskhan can store up to a number of items on behalf of the playable characters, though the maximum number varies between the releases. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the player can store up to 999 of each item here, while in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, the storage increases as the player progresses through their journey, since it depends on their rank. In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon WiiWare games, the maximum number of items that can be stored depends on how many of the three WiiWare titles are on the console: 320 items for one game; 640 items for two games; and 1,000 items for all three games.

Kangaskhan Storage has portable equivalents known as Kangaskhan Rocks, which appear in certain dungeons with checkpoints. Aside from storing items, Kangaskhan Rocks can also be used to save the game progress.

The maximum storage capacity for each rank in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is listed below:

Rank Maximum capacity
Normal Rank 64
Bronze Rank 96
Silver Rank 200
Gold Rank 320
Diamond Rank 480
Super Rank 560
Ultra Rank 640
Hyper Rank 800
Master Rank 1000

Profiles[]

  • Instruction booklet bio (Explorers of Time / Explorers of Darkness): You can store or take out items here. It's a good idea to store important items before going out on a risky exploration, because if you are defeated in a dungeon, you lose some of the items you are carrying.
