This Kangaskhan, nicknamed Kanga, is a normal-type Pokémon owned by Professor Oak.
Biography[]
When he was young, Professor Oak participated in the Indigo League with his Kangaskhan and Chansey. When he faced Agatha, Gengar attacked Professor Oak's Chansey. Chansey used Softboiled, while Oak had Kangaskhan use Dizzy Punch on Gengar. After eight hours, Professor Oak won the battle.[1] In fact, Kangaskhan's Dizzy Punch didn't work on Gengar, as it was just a distraction, to have Agatha take the bait.[2]
FireRed & LeafGreen arc[]
Professor Oak sent Fearow and Kangaskhan to battle Orm, who attempted to capture him. However, Orm simply grabbed the two Pokémon with his bare hands and stopped them.[3]
Emerald arc[]
When Scott spoke with the Frontier Brains, he remembered Professor Oak and his Pokémon, for it was that scientist that calculated on which day and place Jirachi would appear.[4]
