This Luvdisc is a water-type Pokémon owned by Juan.
Biography[]
Juan had Luvdisc use Water Gun, during the opening of a building in Sootopolis City. Though Luvdisc was captured with other Pokémon, Milotic freed it by blasting Team Rocket away. Later, Luvdisc was sent out to battle Ash's Grovyle. Luvdisc dodged Grovyle's Bullet Seed and retaliated with Water Pulse. Grovyle avoided the attack and spun to use Leaf Blade, but missed. In the moment of distraction, Luvdisc used Sweet Kiss, which made Grovyle confused.[1] Grovyle hit itself on a pillar, allowing Luvdisc to easily defeat it with Water Gun. Ash sent Corphish, who used Bubble Beam against Luvdisc's Water Gun. Luvdisc sent a Sweet Kiss, but Corphish evaded and repeated its attack. Luvdisc dived into the water, so Corphish used Crabhammer on the water, causing Luvdisc to be forced out of the water. Due to this attack, it started to rain and allowed Luvdisc to evade Corphish's Vice Grip, due to Swift Swim ability. Luvdisc fired Water Gun, but Corphish avoided the attack and used Bubble Beam on the mist, which stopped the rain. Thus, Corphish used Crabhammer and defeated Luvdisc.[2]
Before arriving to Slateport City for May's Grand Festival, she and Ash remembered their past adventures so far. Ash recalled facing Juan, whose Luvdisc used Sweet Kiss on Ash's Grovyle, confusing it.[3]
