This Jirachi is a steel/psychic-type Pokémon that plays a pivotal role in the movie Jirachi: Wish Maker. Jirachi is a legendary Pokémon who awakens once every thousand years for a period of seven days, coinciding with the appearance of the Millennium Comet. It requires a human friend in order to fully awaken from its hibernation.

Jirachi was found by Butler and Diane deep beneath Forina, in which it was held within the form of a purplish crystal. Butler aimed to use its limitless power in order to create a Groudon through artificial means, which he failed to do for Team Magma. Later, Jirachi telepathically reached out to Max during Butler's magic show.
