Jaye is a character appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Biography[]
When Jaye was younger, he encountered the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh and even had a Rainbow Wing as proof that he saw the Pokémon. He shared his tale with his grandson Chad, who eventually caught on to being interesting in Ho-Oh. However, over time and after many failed searches for Ho-Oh, Jaye began to lose hope in finding Ho-Oh again and threw out the Rainbow Wing he owned, leaving it in his grandson's possession.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series[]
He, his grandson, as well as Ash and Goh, ascended the Bell Tower in an attempt to call for Ho-Oh. Inside of the Bell Tower, his Hoothoot was able to stop the illusions created by a Stantler in the tower, allowing Goh to catch it as well as a Misdreavus. When the four climbed to the top of the tower, they all called for Ho-Oh, finding a gleam of hope when a rainbow appeared, though their calls were unsuccessful. However, just as soon as they are about to leave the tower, Jaye spots Ho-Oh flying through the air and calls the others to see it, though it flies away before they can spot it.
