Iron Treads (テツノワダチ, Tetsunowadachi?) (EYE-ern TREDS[1]) is a Ground/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is Great Tusk's counterpart.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Iron Treads is a large Future Paradox Pokémon resembling a highly mechanical/robotic Donphan. It has a vaguely pachyderm-like appearance. It is a particularly round Pokémon, its main body being comprised of segmented gun-metal-grey plates. Its face resembles a crescent-shaped display-screen with narrowed red pixilated eyes, and below it has a frowning robotic mouth that can open and close. It lacks an actual trunk, and does not have a nose. Though initially appearing fierce and angry, its expression varies depending on its mood; it can simulate blinking and different expressions by changing the display pattern. Two darker-silver tusk-like metal spines protrude from either side of its face, and it has ear-like flaps of the same dark metal exending from each side of its body. It has short mechanical legs that it can fold-in and protract at will. It has long, black and glowing red segmented rotating treads extending over its entire body, appearing vaguely as a trunk and tail. Its long front part and tail-end can connect at the center of its belly, forming treads and a powerful robotic wheel in which it can use to travel at very high speeds as it folds in all of its limbs to become more aerodynamic. When tired, its red glow and monitor turns off and it enters a type of sleep-mode.

Behavior[]

Iron Treads is an aggressive Paradox Pokémon that attacks by curling into a ball and rolling at high-speed, leaving behind a trail of scorched earth.

Natural abilities[]

With its Quark Drive ability, like all Future Paradox Pokémon, Iron Treads can increase its Speed and highest stat when Electric Terrain is active, or if holding a Booster Energy. Iron Treads makes use of its robotic pseudo-trunk as fast-moving treads to move at high-speeds.

Evolution[]

Iron Treads does not evolve.
