Iron Barbs

Iron Barbs (てつのトゲ, Tetsu no Toge?) is an Ability exclusive to Steel-type Pokémon, introduced in Generation V. This ability was exclusive to Ferroseed and Ferrothorn before Generation VII. Three Pokémon have this ability.

Effect

When a Pokémon hits a Pokémon with this ability the attacker will lose ⅛ of its maximum HP.

Generation V	Inflicts damage to the Pokémon on contact.
Generation VI	Inflicts damage to the attacker on contact.
Generation VII	Inflicts damage to the attacker on contact with iron barbs.
