Indigo Plateau is the home to the Kanto and Johto Pokémon League. There are no items here. The closest town/city to it is Viridian City and New Bark Town. The Elite Four can only be accessed by traveling through the cave at the base of the plateau which is protected by eight Kanto and Johto Pokémon League Guards that check trainers for all eight Kanto and Johto Pokémon Badges before allowing them to advance towards the Plateau's cave entrance.
In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, the Indigo Plateau is one possible background in Pokémon Photo Club from transferred from Pokémon Gen I games or Fire Red and Leaf Green.
Anime[]
In the anime, it is the site of the regional Conference of the Pokémon League, as well as the Kanto region's Grand Festival where May competes.
Trivia[]
- As the Indigo Plateau is on the border of Kanto, whose cities are named after colors, and Johto, whose cities are named after plants, its name refers to both the color indigo and the indigo plant (from which the color gets its name).
