Imposter (かわりもの) is a hidden Normal-type ability exclusive to Ditto, introduced in Generation V.

Description

Generation V

It transforms itself into the Pokémon it is facing.

Generation VI

The Pokémon transforms itself into the Pokémon it's facing.

Effect

Upon entering battle, the Pokémon will copy the opponent's: appearance, cry, ability, attack stat, defense stat, special attack stat, special defense stat, speed stat, stat changes, weight, and moves (five PP each).

Imposter will not activate if the opponent is: not positioned directly across from the Pokémon, or under the effects of; Illusion, Imposter, Substitute and/or Transform.
