This Primarina is a water/fairy-type Pokémon owned by Hau.
Biography[]
As Popplio[]
Professor Kukui had a battle with Popplio and Rowlet. He complimented their moves until he greeted Sun, who arrived with Moon to his lab.[1] After a brief talk with Sun, Kukui was enveloped in Popplio's bubble, as was his Rowlet. Moon reacted immediately by piercing the bubble with an arrow. Later, Popplio tried to tell Moon that Rowlet was still stuck in its water bubble, and she was able to pierce the bubble with her bow and arrow. However, Rowlet caught a cold. Sun later told Moon that when battling against each other, Popplio was usually the one beating up Rowlet, even though it has a type disadvantage.[2]
After Kukui went to Akala Island, he left Popplio and Rockruff in his house to be taken cared of by his wife, Professor Burnet.[3] Eventually, Hau received Popplio,[4] and the two awaited Ilima's arrival at Melemele Island's Trainer's School.[5] Hau's Popplio participated in the battle against the mysterious creatures, named Ultra Beasts, that Guzma sent to attack at Po Town. It fought a large-mouthed Ultra Beast, but was wounded in the battle.[6] Hau and Popplio watched Gladion riding on Type: Null to intercept the Ultra Beasts.[7] When Sun and Moon were describing the Ultra Beasts, they thought of Hau and Popplio, who fought the Ultra Beast dubbed as "Glutton", and officially named as Guzzlord.[8]
As Brionne[]
Hau came to Exeggutor Island to speak with Hala. He showed he was training hard for the last six months, as he showed his Brionne and Pikachu, who had evolved.[9]
Hala used Bewear to fight Hau's Brionne during their training on Poni Island. Brionne used Bubble Beam, which knocked Bewear down. In that moment, Brionne evolved into Primarina.[10]
As Primarina[]
Hau contributed the success of Primarina's evolution to Hala's training. However, Hala explained Primarina had evolved because Hau had raised it well.[10]
