Steelix was used to battle Ash'sNoctowl. Enduring the latter's Confusion attack, Steelix unleashed a Sandstorm, then used Dig. Noctowl attempted to force Steelix to sleep with Hypnosis, but was defeated by Iron Tail. Steelix then battled against Ash's Snorlax, stopping its Hyper Beam by using Bind on it. As Steelix went to use Screech, Snorlax quickly defeated it with Ice Punch and Hyper Beam combo.[1]
