Her hair (which is black), is very long and comes down in two huge braids; additionally, she also has thick, bushy eyebrows. Clothing-wise, Hapu wears tough clothes that are suitable for working and add to her already dwarf-esque appearance. Her outfit consists of a short-sleeved khaki shirt, matching khaki pants that are very baggy and have purple designs on the knees, and black rubber boots. For accessories, she wears a large purple bonnet that's tied around her chin, a skinny black belt that only goes through one loop, and purplish-gray gloves. In Sun and Moon, Hapu is traveling through Alola to become stronger, she first appears on Akala Island, where was defending a [[Drifloon]] from two Team Skull Grunts, she is later seen at [[Ula'ula Island]], where she gives the player character the Mudsdale Gallop. When Lusamine used [[Nebby (game)|Nebby]] to open several [[Ultra Wormhole]]s around Alola, she said that has fought against an [[Ultra Beasts|Ultra Beast]] (presumably being [[Guzzlord]])  that emerged from the wormhole that appeared on [[Poni Island]] alongside [[Tapu Fini]]. After [[Lillie]] and the player character arrives in Poni Island, Hapu take then to the [[Ruins of Hope]], where she is chosen by Tapu Fini as the new Island Kahuna of Poni Island, after this, the newly appointed go to [[Vast Poni Canyon]], where she challenges the player character for the Grand Trial, after being defeated, she gives the player character the [[Groundium Z]] and accompanies the player character and Lillie to the [[Altar of the Sunne]]/[[Altar of the Moone|Moone]].

Hapu is a Island Kahuna, who appears in Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. She is the Kahuna of Poni Island.
