Great Tusk (イダイナキバ, Idainakiba?) (GREAT TUSK[1]) is a Ground/Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is Iron Treads' counterpart.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Great Tusk is a large primarily gray pachyderm Pokémon that appears to be an ancient variant or ancestor of Donphan. Its prominent feature, which it is named after, are its massive, and particularly large and long tusks, that are a light-tan color; the tusks stem from is upper jaw and curl inward toward up to its forehead. It has a long dark-grey heavily segmented trunk that curls over its head and its back, and down its tail. Its trunk, back, and dinosaur-like tail are covered with many magenta scale-like spikes. From its hefty trunk and back, upon its head stem two long thin ears with magenta flesh inside. It has short legs with three white claws; fluffy magenta tufts of fur curl around them. The skin covering it body is light grey, with three magenta scales on each side. It has a large mouth with jagged teeth, and small yellow eyes with slit pupils, and magenta eyelids.

Behavior[]

Great Tusk, as documented in the Scarlet Book, is a ferocious Pokémon that attacks its opponents with its large and powerful tusks. It is dangerously aggressive toward creatures that approach it, as it is primal in nature.

Though as seen in Pokémon Scarlet, even in Titan Form, this Pokémon can be tamed like any other once calmed and captured, and becomes loyal and friendly to a skilled trainer.

Natural abilities[]

Great Tusk can only have the ability Protosynthesis, which will boost its most proficient stat in harsh sunlight or if it's holding a Booster Energy.

A giant Great Tusk, known as the Quaking Earth Titan, is one of the Titan Pokémon found in the Paldea region.

Evolution[]

Great Tusk does not evolve.
