This Aerodactyl is a Rock/ -type Pokémon owned by Goh.
Personality[]
When first being exposed to a new era, Aerodactyl was quite insecure, which resulted in it going on a rampage. Nevertheless, after being defeated by Goh's Golurk and being reassured by Goh, it starts to open up itself.
Biography[]
Goh originally discovered Aerodactyl's fossil, an Old Amber, at an excavation site at the Pewter Museum. He gave it to the museum curator, who placed it in a machine to be resurrected overnight. During the night, Team Rocket accidentally released Aerodactyl while they were trying to steal it, causing an explosion. Ash, Goh, and Chloe heard this from the nearby Pokémon Center and rushed back to the museum to see what was happening. Goh split up from Ash and Chloe to chase after it, following it farther into the exhibit. Goh attempted to reason with it, but it responded by attacking him with Rock Slide. Goh tried to have Raboot repel the rocks by kicking them back, similar to the strategy he used with Flygon, but Raboot was overwhelmed and defeated. Goh then sent out Golurk and had him attack with Flash Cannon, but Aerodactyl's superior speed allowed it to dodge and get several hits on Golurk. Golurk was able to turn the tides after stopping Aerodactyl's Iron Head with his hand and landing a Hammer Arm. Golurk was then able to land a Flash Cannon, causing Aerodactyl to fall to the ground. Goh called off the battle and approached Aerodactyl, calming it down and successfully capturing it in a Poké Ball.[1]
Aerodactyl was sent out alongside with Flygon to help get Ash and his friends inside the alternate world and stop Dialga and Palkia from causing time-space distortions. They were both later sent out to battle the Alternate World Team Rocket. But Flygon rapidly devolved into Vibrava and then Trapinch before being turned into egg while Aerodactyl just devolved into an egg itself. Moments after the Alternate World Team Rocket was defeated, Ash, his friends, and their Alternate World counterparts, along with some help from Cynthia, Alternate World Professor Rowan, Jessie, James and Alternate World Nurse Joy prayed for Dialga and Palkia to stop fighting and pleaded them to turn their Pokémon back to their normal forms. Just then, a bright golden silhouette of Arceus appeared, calmed the temporal and spacial Pokémon down and destroyed the Red Chain that the Alternate World Team Rocket had them binded by. Dialga and Palkia then fixed the damage their fighting caused and returned everyone back to their respective dimensions, while also granting their wish to reverse the devolution effects on all of their Pokémon, returning Aerodactyl back to normal and returning Trapinch all the way back to Flygon.[2]
