SV The user attacks by throwing steel gears at the target twice in a row.

Effect[]

Gear Grind inflicts damage, hitting twice per use.

Both strikes have a chance to be a critical hit or cause flinching (if the user is holding King's Rock/Razor Fang).

Sturdy and the Focus Band and Focus Sash only weaken the first Attack to leave the holder with 1 hp with the next hit being the finishing blow.

Gear Grind will hit twice even if it breaks a Substitute. Bide and Counter will only acknowledge the second hit of this move.

Weak Armor and other contact abilities activate once per hit. The Rocky Helmet damages the user upon every hit.

In a Pokémon Contest, it gives the user 3 appeal points if Klink's line's other signature move Shift Gear was used before it.
