This Roserade is a grass/poison-type Pokémon owned by Gardenia.
Biography[]
Gardenia was in Eterna City, with her Pokémon, Cherubi and Roserade. Gardenia encountered Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, and smelled that the boys had a strange scent. They ignored her, so Gardenia had Roserade use Grass Knot to stop them, and gain their attention.[1]
Roserade and Cherubi were used to battle Platinum's Ponyta and Prinplup. The two stood at a far distance, and emitted vines, through the ground, to attack Platinum's Pokémon. This prevented them from being frozen or burnt by their opponent's attacks, and used Grass Knot to wound Prinplup even more. The latter retaliated with Blizzard through the holes, and the attack went through the ground to Roserade and Cherubi, and the two Pokémon were defeated by that attack.[2]
Gardenia, Roark and Fantina went to Mt. Coronet, to stop Team Galactic's plans. Gardenia's Roserade emitted vines to attack Mars, whose Purugly defended her.[3] Gardenia confronted Team Galactic commanders at the Spear Pillar. She sent Roserade and Cherubi, who teamed up with Crasher Wake's Floatzel and Quagsire, to battle Mars' Pokémon.[4] Gardenia and Roserade, along with the other Gym Leaders and their Pokémon, defeated the Team Galactic commanders. Since Cyrus was conducting his plans, space and time was being warped, so they could not reach him. The Gym Leaders went through the tunnels to get to Cyrus, and had their Pokémon attack the Red Chain to shatter it. Roserade got hit by Cyrus' Honchkrow, but endured the attack, until the Red Chain snapped.[5] In fact, Roserade and the others shattered the fake, incomplete chain, leaving Cyrus to control Dialga and Palkia with the true Red Chain.[6]
