Gabite (Japanese: ガバイト, HepburnGabaito) (gab-BITE[1]) is a Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Gabite is a bipedal Pokémon that shares traits with both sharks and dragons. It is a dark-blue gray with a red underside, which is connected to a lavender colored bottom. Its wings resemble pointed fins with one long claw on each one, and its legs have three claws on each of its feet and two claws on each of its knees. It has a large dorsal fin on its back. It has a long, segmented tail with one fin on it. On its head are two horns with a lavender stripe in them. Its eyes have black sclerae and yellow irises, and it has visible fangs. Every now and then, they shed their scales and skin, which are used in traditional medicine.

Behavior[]

Gabite is often territorial and predatory. When in battle, it uses its tough scales as armor. Its scales are also known to make good medicine when grounded up. Gabite loves shiny things. It seeks treasures in caves often digging deep into the earth and it hoards all the loot in its nest and guards it fiercely. Sometimes, they will steal Carbink and keep them at its nest. When they see Sableye attacking Carbink, they often get jealous and may attack Sableye out of this.

Gender differences[]

Male Gabite have a notch in their dorsal fin.

Evolution[]

Gabite evolves form Gible at level 24 and evolves into Garchomp at level 48.
