The GS Ball is a mysterious Poké Ball, featured in Generation II.

The GS ball is a normal sized Poké Ball that doesn't seem to shrink like other Poké Balls do. The ball is split horizontally across the middle by a black line, into two different colors, Gold and Silver. There are two letters inscribed on the upper half of the ball, directly above the Pokémon release button, which reads "GS".

  • Announced by Masamitsu Hidaka that the GS Ball stood for Gold/Silver ball and was supposed to contain Celebi and was to follow Ash Ketchum around in the Gold/Silver series, however they decided at the last minute to save Celebi for the Pokémon movie "Pokémon 4Ever".
