Trivia

  • This Pokémon and its pre-evolution have a unique type combination, being ice and bug.
  • Frosmoth is the third known Pokémon to skip the pupal stage during its evolution. The first being Venomoth and the second being Volcarona.
    • Coincidentally, all 3 are dual type Bug-type Pokémon who retain their typing throughout.
    • Coincidentally, all 3 are moth Pokémon.
    • Another way it is similar to Volcarona is that they are both opposite types (Volcarona is fire, Frosmoth is ice), and that they have similar stat distribution with the exception of speed.

Origin

Frosmoth may be based of the Winter moth.

Etymology

Frosmoth comes from frost and moth.

Mosuno is pun on moth and snow.
