Trivia[]
- Frenzy Plant is the most commonly seen Special Hyper Beam variant in the anime (excluding Hyper Beam itself), with seven Pokémon having used it.
- It is also the only Hyper Beam variant that Ash has had on any of his Pokémon, as his Torterra was revealed to have learned the move in Ride, Lapras, Ride.
- This move was originally meant to be Venusaur's signature move, but it was given to the other Grass-type first partners in Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version, and has since continued the tradition of giving the new Grass-type first partners this move. However, Venusaur is the most prominent user of the move.
