If you haven't noticed, these boxes we use for images of moves stack up on one another and they is organized. Not only that, the size of the box changes due to certain images, but sometimes it looks crazy. So I propose that we create a gallery subpage for a move, this way we can seperate the images properly and have a consistent space. Plenty of wikis have gallery subpages for things. I'm mostly focusing on move pages, but other pages can be used too. An example of how a move gallery subpage would look would be like Energy Ball Gallery. Aside from the games, we don't have to use one image per generation (region) in the anime and manga. While we know some moves differ in appearance in serieses, Pokémon also use moves differently. This is a good way to list all of the Pokémon in the anime and manga to know a move, just as we list what Pokémon can learn the move. Loading time won't be much of an issue really due to the page mainly containing images and not a bunch of data and images. Plus we have a category like this loads perfectly fine with over 150 images on it. I doubt we'd even have that many galleries that reach 100 images anyway. Those are just rare cases.
After further observation, I noticed how unformatted the gallery boxes we use now are. When there are multiple boxes, they pile up on one another like so. I don't like how compressed the images looks in the box. So I thought we could create gallery subpages for moves. This is a common thing used on wikis anyway. This way we can list all of the Pokémon shown using the move, instead of just six and have plenty of space. We would name the subpages as (Move)/(Anime, Manga or Game) Gallery. A more direct example would be Energy Ball/Anime Gallery. The subpage will be listed in a "See also" section.

Neutral I have to go with being neutral with this one. I think it will be a good idea to showcase the moves but at the other hand, galleries are going to have too many images of moves that are used many times in the anime (like Hyper Beam for example). That was why the galleries were removed in the first place from the pages some time ago. So I am not sure to either support or oppose this.--Lordranged7 (talk) 18:28, August 24, 2016 (UTC)

Oppose We never have done this. It is just a lazy way to add tons of images onto one article. Besides, there are times where there is just one image of a move used in the anime and times when it is used too much. And then there are also the times when the scene used is just copy-pasted for Pokémon belonging to other characters. You also need to know about the time to load articles. Slaying and his friend did change infoboxes, one of the reasons to reduce loading page time. We already scrapped out such galleries before and used those templates, to show how the image changed from one generation to the other. As said before, it is not much of a big deal; if it must, the images of main characters' (plus some related ones, like anime/manga counterparts) Pokémon can be added in a different gallery. And even if it is placed into the new page, how will it affect the reader? I do not think such a drastic change is welcome. And once this starts, I fear more pages will be affected by this "transition". In a few words, this gallery business is highly unprofessional. Forums: Index Watercooler Should Gallery Subpages Be Added?
