The Beginning of the End with Kyogre & Groudon VIII (Japanese: VS カイオーガ & グラードン VIII, Hepburn: VS Kyogre & Groudon VIII) is the 6th chapter of Pokémon Adventures: Volume 20.

Synopsis[]

Brawly and Roxanne combat Groudon, who tries to ignore them. Wallace comes as a reinforcement, but their new enemies appear as well.

Chapter plot[]

Amber wakes up from unconsciousness, realizing his leader betrayed him. He refuses to believe in that, wanting to stay loyal to Team Aqua and flies off with Pelipper. Courtney, Blaise and Tabitha re-unite and go towards the place where Groudon is fighting. Groudon, however, releases blasts of energy, raising the temperature for a few degrees. Groudon uses Thunder, hitting Machoke and paralyzing it. Brawly sends Hariyama, whose Smellingsalt cures Machoke. Groudon is leaving, but Roxanne goes after it and stands in its path.

Nosepass uses Block, preventing Groudon from escaping. Nosepass continues, using Rock Blast, hitting Groudon. Roxanne admits it is not her strategy to attack so wildly, but will do that if it means to stop Groudon. Suddenly, Wallace appears, who sends his Sealeo, Richard, hitting Groudon with Ice Ball. Wallace comes out of the car, knowing Sapphire and Ruby are risking their lives, so it is their job to stall Groudon. However, three figures are adamant to stop the Gym Leaders from attacking Groudon.
